Dispatcher/Scheduler

Veteran-owned Industrial Service company is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Dispatcher to join their Channelview Texas team.
Job Description:
Take incoming customer requests.
Schedule and coordinate all customer, employee and after hour calls.
Create a scheduling plan for all work orders.
Dispatch technicians based on work orders and priority of work.
Debrief Management after completion of each work order.
Maintain the dispatch board/schedule.
Forecast workload for 2-3 days out.
Order parts and/or rent equipment as required for each work order.
Compare time tickets and work orders to verify the working hours for each job and employee.
Qualifications:
Current TWIC card
High school diploma or equivalent
Class C state-issued license or above
Clean driving record
Computer Literate
Advance customer service skills
Ability to multi-task
Organized
Geographical knowledge of service area
Knowledge of industry is recommended but not required
Two years related experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities:
Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
Demonstrate interpersonal skill in order to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
Ability to exercise judgment under pressure
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
Ability to operate a radio, telephone and computer systems under routine, emergency and high-stress conditions
Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore vehicles and/or equipment to service
Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisor and field team members
Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests.
Prepare daily work and run schedules
Receive and/or prepare work orders
Oversee all communications within workgroups
Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules.
Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other information.
Determine types or amounts of equipment, personnel, vehicles, or materials required according to work orders or specifications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
